Les Miserables
Les Miserables can be a challenging production in terms of good quality sound reinforcement.
We at Sound Hire were asked to provide and operate one of our custom designed sound reinforcement systems to enable this sold out student production run to be clearly heard above a nineteen piece orchestra.
Once again we received substantial comments on how excellent the sound was everywhere from the front row to the back row of the auditorium by those in the audience and even members of the orchestra itself.
Members of the public as well as the National Operatic & Drama Association representative who attended the final performance gave the cast a standing ovation for their efforts in this outstanding student production.
Being a company always looking forward we went into this show with some of our latest products including a PreSonus digital audio mixer feeding QSC self powered loudspeakers via a DBX loudspeaker management and feedback reduction system. Industry standard Crown stage front microphones were deployed for chorus work and the radio/wireless microphone systems were split 50 - 50 with Sennheiser and the latest Trantec offerings.
All in all our unique sound reinforcement system set up gave plenty of crystal clear sound enabling the quietest parts could easily be heard right up to the loudest parts of the show which were gently compressed so as not to be too loud on the ears.
