The legendary 'Scarborough Spa Orchestra' along with guest singers from around the world (and some guest musicians too) are well into another summer season of performances.

This orchestra is the only remaining seaside orchestra here in the UK at this time and in 2012 they celebrate their centenary year. They have featured on BBC TV and Radio many times and have recently featured in a dedicated BBC 3 programme 'The Last Seaside Orchestra'.

www.soundhire.co.uk - once again are the providers of sound reinforcement equipment for the orchestras 'Peasholm Park Concerts' throughout 2011. We have a new member of the team this year 'Charlie' who has taken to rowing across the lake to the band stand rather than by motorised swan as the rest of us prefer to travel (This is correct - there is a motorised swan on the lake - I'm not mad!) so welcome along Charlie.

This year we have provided a new amplification system along with new channel 38 wireless microphone systems which have proved a great success in addition to digital mixing introduced in 2010. We always look to provide some of the best and latest technology at the best prices for all our clients and we ONLY use experienced sound engineers who work on theatre and classical music productions.

The concerts in 2011 have been 'Proms in the Park' (June 2011) followed by 'Music from the Movies' (July 2011) and the final concert in Peasholm Park (August 2011) was a 'Three Tenors in the Park' special traditionally attracting well over 1000 people.
